Job Description: Purchasing Agent
Position Directly Reports to: Buying Group
Job Type: Full time, hourly
Job Summary: Purchasing Clerk position duties will primarily be reviewing and placing a variety of product orders with suppliers on regular schedule. Critical thinking is essential to the position, as the primary role will be reviewing orders that are generated automatically by order point software but still require human intervention to address errors or miscalculations. In addition to reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly orders, position will be responsible for database entry and data management on a semi-regular basis. This is an entry to mid-level position depending on qualifications.
Position Requirements:
This position will be based out of the main office in Victor, NY so a professional, courteous, and efficient person is a must. Potential for remote work is available to qualified candidates, however regular travel to Victor offices weekly is mandatory as well as any “remote” work being completed in a CountryMax store. All standard qualifications apply (proficient in Microsoft Office, general business proficiencies, etc.) in addition to a commitment to reliability and trustworthiness. A vehicle and valid driver’s license is required for this position, as reliability is essential.
